Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Footballs
Ingredients- Makes roughly 15-20 footballs
2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
2/3 cups powdered sugar
2/3 cups peanut butter (chunky or smooth, your choice)
1/2 stick or 4 TBSP unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
Chocolate almond bark
Vanilla/white almond bark
Directions
1. In a large bowl, combine cereal, powdered sugar, peanut butter, and butter until thoroughly combined. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or freeze for 20-30 minutes. Meanwhile, cover a cookie sheet with foil.
2. After it has been chilled, take about 2 TBSP of the peanut butter mix, and shape it into a football. Set on the foiled cookie sheet. Repeat until all the mix is made into little footballs. Refrigerate for 1 hour or freeze for 15-20 minutes.
3. Melt the chocolate almond bark in a bowl.
4. When the footballs are done being chilled, place one in the almond bark, and coat. Place back on the foil. Repeat until all the footballs have been chocolatized..
5. While your chocolate is hardening, melt some white almond bark in a large ziploc bag. When it is done melting, snip off a tiny piece of the corner of the bag.
6. This is where skill and patience come in. Pipe the white almond bark onto each football, making the laces of the football. Allow to harden.
Serve at your next football game!
