You may be asking "Why do I need to know how to roast vegetables?" Well, it's easy and it amps up the flavor of your vegetables by a million percent! The first time I roasted vegetables, I could not wait to do it again. Roasting vegetables bring out a flavor in the vegetables that makes you crave them after you've finished off what you already ate! Since I'm lazy and don't feel like looking up how to roast each type of veggie, I just stick to one method, and it works every time!
Ingredients
Vegetable of your choice, frozen or fresh, cut into bite size pieces
Olive oil
Salt
Pepper
Directions
1. Set your oven to broil.
2. Spread about a Tbsp of olive oil on a baking sheet.
3. Put your veggies in a ziploc bag, sprinkle in some olive oil, depending on how many veggies you have. Sprinkle in some salt and pepper. Seal the bag, and shake to coat the veggies. Spread the veggies evenly on the baking sheet.
4. Broil veggies for 5 minutes. Flip, and broil for 2-3 more minutes.
Now serve those veggies up! I've made corn, zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots like this, and they all turned out awesome. Sometimes the veggies are done after the 5 minutes, so you don't have to flip and broil longer, it just depends on the vegetable and your preference.
What is your favorite vegetable? How do you cook it?
