Bacon Wrapped Water Chesnuts
Ingredients
1 8oz can whole water chesnuts, drained
1 lb bacon, each slice cut in half
1 cup soy sauce
2 Tbsp brown sugar
toothpicks
Directions
1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce and brown sugar together. Set aside.
2. Wrap a bacon strip around a water chesnut, and secure with a toothpick. Place in the soy sauce. Repeat with the rest of the water chesnuts.
3. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. This will allow some time for the soy sauce mixture to marinate into the bacon and water chesnuts.
4. When the oven is done preheating, place the water chesnuts on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. If you like your bacon crispier, bake longer. I usually do mine for 12 minutes because I like my bacon pretty crispy. Enjoy!
